Empty datamap error

OK so I have the wiring right. My fault, upgraded from D10 to A and didn't know the wiring changed.
Now I have a new problem:
Every time I try and access the D10A, I get the message "Error while connecting to the Efis-D10A (empty datamap). Please try again.
I've tried several times. Powered the computer down, powered the EFIS down. Still doing it.
Yes I might have lost power during a restoration attempt. Not sure, left it alone for 15 minutes and when I came back the screen was blank.
