My EMS D10 appears to wok ok on the ground, Display was ok during first flight, but there had been a low voltage alarm after engine start. I did not notice display status at end of first flight. At start up for second flight display stopped at Dynon Logo and would not advance to normal data display. Recycling EMS power advanced display to usual data screen but this then remained locked or frozen. Shortly after shut down, display returned to normal. Any Ideas? I'm suspecting interference voltage spikes either from starter motor (unlikely) or from Alternator, Would a suitably connected Zener diode be worth trying, or perhaps a high value capacitor across theDynon supply? Is interference from ignition system feasible?

The EMS should be able to cope with reasonable fluctuations in power. The lower voltage alarm, for example, isn't terribly unusual during start depending on how you have your alarms set. Seeing a voltage dip during crank that could be low enough to trigger an alert but not low enough to shut down the unit is entirely possible (we spec usable power down to 10V, but the EMS can actually do OK on less than that). Is the voltage display on the EMS stable when the engine is running? (this may not tell the entire story as there is some damping in the display).
