When I switch on, the M.A.P. display shows 2.5 insHg and does not change even after engine start and increasing revs makes no difference. I'm suspecting that i may have crossed over wiring to pins A & C, Do the display symptoms support my suspicion? Currently I have no OAT sensor connected. Might that be relevant? Or does it seem like my connections may be faulty. Should I be able to see a voltage at pins A & C with the connector plugged in? If yes, what approx value at ground idle RPM?

I think that's what you'll see if the connection is open too (which can be caused by a miswiring). If A and C were flipped, you'd end up with no voltage on the signal line (pin B), which is effectively the same as open / not connected.

What do you see in the SETUP MENU > EMS SETUP > SENSOR DEBUG MENU?

The lack of OAT sensor is fine and isn't going to affect MAP at all.
