Dear Dynon Team,

my old EMS has quit working and I am now in the process of retrofitting an EMS-D10 (RV-8 w/ Lycoming AEIO-360).
I have purchased the sensor and harness kit but would like to keep the following prior installed senders until they quit:

1. Fuel Pressure 0-30 PSI
VDO P/N 360-081-032-025C
Alternative JPI P/N: 3060-17

2. Oil Pressure 0-150 PSI
JPI P/N 3060-18 (VDO style or probably also manufactured by VDO)

I would appreciate your comments on suitability and especially sensor type selection in the setup.

Firmware on unit is 5.5

Many thanks,
Tobi

Tobi:

Those P/Ns are not known to be compatible with Dynon Avionics EMS units, but they may work - you'll have to experiment.

As another poster mentioned on another new installation, if you have the luxury of running new wires. recommend you run a ground, +5V (EMS 37-pin connector Pin 18), and the signal wire from the EMS 37-pin connector to the location of the sensor to allow you an easy conversion to the Kavlico pressure sensors that Dynon Avionics now sells and recommends. For which sensor type to select, this document is a starting point.
