EMS D120 Failure

On way to Oshkosh in new PiperSport with all Dynon glass Lost all function of D120. All indications bounce from min to max and multiple alarms sound turning instruments switch off allows use of the d100 but no ems data.  Need help ASAP  Thanks

Almost guaranteed to be a bad ground on the engine or a loose connector on the back of the D120.

Just an update for the gallery - we're in touch with Charlie and his PiperSport dealer and are working through this with them. Chance it's the unit, but probably a larger chance that it's a wiring thing (often with the 5V line being shorted or injected into something it shouldn't be).

Did you guys ever found out what caused the issue? Futhermore, does anyone know if this is an isolated incident or has it occured on more than just this one Pipersport? On a side note, how do you like your Pipersport? I finally got to get in one a few weeks ago and really liked it.

It was a wiring issue, not caused at all by the Dynon EMS. We did send a unit out to troubleshoot it though given that he was basically stranded en-route to OSH.
