Error in the Digital Map data downloaded from the Dynon Website for Dynon SkyView displays.
(I'm not sure if this is an FAA problem or a Dynon problem)
The GPS coastline map shows a large area of land off the south coast of Massachusetts and RI, which should be water. The coastline displayed in this area is several miles from the real coastline.
The area is near Cuttyhunk island and the Southern MA and Rhode Island coastlines.
It is not a new problem. The problem has shown on the display for many 28 day cycles.
I have attached a screen-shot.
I reported this error to FAA (Aeronautical Chart Change Receipt: ACC-154599), However, today I noticed that the error appears at display range below 30 miles, but the coastline is OK at ranges above 30 miles.  Hence it may be a Dynon problem.

So that is actually in the hi resolution terrain database that we provide and not in any of the the FAA aviation aviation/obstacle data. I'll make to report it internally.

The "High resolution" coastline map error is still there in the latest map for Skyview on the Dynon website.
Is there any progress from within Dynon, towards getting the map eror corrected?

So we don't currently have newer data here. But, the previous data - which has other anomalies in other areas of the US (flood plains that show up as water in places like AZ that are nominally not wet) - has a better representation of the NE US coastline. Here's a link to that previous North America high resolution terrain file if you'd like to try it out.
