Error messages + widget size increase

I have a new remos GX with twin 7" skyviews.

I get a yellow "spd" MSG on top of the screen in the autopilot section when I start my departure roll, and on roll out after landing. Audible BEEP BEEP BEEP too. Beep intervals some times gets more frequent.  Almost as annoying as "pull up" announcement when landing.  Can't find ref to "spd" Anywhere

Also on one flight I got red "oil pressure low" msg on bottom rhs of left skyview screen.  Oil pressure dials showed middle of green on both screens. Decided to land anyhow. Shut down the one screen with oil press warning and restarted.  Error msg never came back. what to do?

I believe there is a way to increase the widget size on my 7" screens. I have a rotax 912 so don't need manifold pressure and can likely give up some other screen real estate.  where do I look to re-program? Can I resize just the right side screen, which I use primarily as an EMS? Or do I have to resize widgets on both sides.

Thanks

Howard

Ps. Went to skyview seminar at OSH. Super helpful. Thx

The "SPD" is telling you you can't engage you autopilot right now because your speed is too fast or too slow. Page 8-10 of the user guide.

The beeping is probably the AOA stall warning sound. Sounds like maybe they didn't calibrate the AoA well.

I don't know what to tell you about getting oil pressure low on only one screen. That's very odd and should theoretically be impossible. I guess you need to fly some more and see if it ever repeats.

Since you have an LSA, you can't legally change the setup of the screens without Remos giving the go-ahead. You'll need to talk to them about the screen configuration and see if they support different ones.

This is true if this is an SLSA. I have a Flight Design CTSW that was an SLSA but I converted it to an ELSA and can legally modify it.
Just saying "LSA" may not always be accurate. Saying SLSA would. I've seen you use "LSA" in this sense before so thought I'd mention the significant difference.
Granted, the plane in question is probably an SLSA but without looking it up or asking the owner we don't really know for sure.

Yesterday 9.13.2012, I got error red MSGs "oil pres low" & "fuel pres low" again only on left display. This time took pix of entire panel showing error msgs just on left skyview. Round widgets showed pressures in green on both displays so I was not alarmed.
Seems like I'm not able to post photos or I would show this is possible. Must be problem with left skyview display, not sensors. Error messages came on towards end of one hour flight. Total time since new is 26.4 hrs. Yes, it is an SLSA.

What to do?

.

Im also getting the " SPD " warning while I taxi, I have looked at page 8-10 and I didnt see anywhere that I can adjust any settings , ie adjust a low speed so the alarm doesnt start until im say 50 KTS. I have the AP servos to turn on as soon as skyview boots up, so they have power as soon as the screens are on.

I will also have another go at setting my AoA.

"SPD" will appear any time you are too slow or too fast for the autopilot. "SPD" is NOT a warning or alarm. It's a state, telling you why you can't engage the AP right now.

These speeds are set in autopilot setup. Usually about 1.4X stall speed and .95 Vne, but that is up to the installer. Thus, when you are going 20 knots on the ground, you're too slow and we show SPD. We do allow engagement at 0 knots, so you can test on the ground, and we disengage if you ever try and take off with it engaged.

I have been able to fix this problem.
In setup, go to audio, then AoA. My AoA was set to 20kts to start giving alarms, so I set this to 40kts and now im able to taxi with out the alarms going off. My stall speed is 57kts, so this is well below what I need.
