External Power for Skyview

I am installing the Skyview in my RV-8A. During the initial setup what external electrical source is recommended? Battery charger? Car/motorcycle battery?

I would like to use a standard car battery charger, but I don't know its compatability. Thanks

You could use a Battery, but don't try to run it directly from a charger. A proper power supply unit is the best bet as it has better controllability.

A regulated power supply is the best option. Only use a battery charger if you have an actual battery in the circuit. Else you can damage your electronics (battery chargers are designed to charge batteries, not be stable DC power supplies)
