FD without servos?

question, when will we have a FD available without having A/P servos.

I think a F/D is much more important when hand flying than with the A/P engaged.

We don't currently have plans to break out the flight director from the presence of the servos, but it's not an impossibility. There are a few technical reasons for this, including the tuning of the AP/FD to a particular aircraft, which is best done with the servos in the loop.

I can understand if there are difficulties in implementing it, but I am disappointed as I do value having the F/D active when hand flying.

When the servos are installed is the F/D only active when the servos are engaged, or do they just need to be installed?

The FD works like any good FD. You can have it on without the servos, but they do need to be installed.
