Yesterday I was told that my radio transmissions were hard to hear. "A little muffled", "Weak".
I had the mic of my BOSE ANR headset touching my lips, and even when speaking more loudly, I did not get anyone to say I sounded "GREAT".
Before I start adjusting settings within the SV, can anyone offer real world suggestions on what features I should adjust in order to increase clarity and power of transmissions?
Thanks

Try a different headset in your aircraft before digging into the wiring or the SV.

I would try that headset on another airplane if possible and/or try another headset on the SV airplane. Make sure antenna connections are tight and no short or open-circuit is possible. I assume the SV COM does like most modern communication transmitters and reduces power considerable if it encounters a high SWR (due to antenna or coax issues) condition. Is it a new condition or is it first time to try radio?
