I tried to update my D-100 EFIS to 4.0 today, backed up the old version, had the unit powered from a fully charged battery, and the laptop with main power. Support program showed that the update completed sucessfully but the unit was powered off (screen black) and will not power back on. Tried disconnecting the internal battery as suggested in the help file and recycling the power but the unit will not power back on. Updated the EMS D-120 to 4.0 just fine.
EDC-10A is installed and was connected and detected by the support program.

Please advise what steps (if any) I can or  need to take or do I need to return the unit to Dynon.

If the support program claims to have updated the unit successfully, cycling power should bring the unit back up. If you updated using only the internal battery, the unit is not able to power cycle itself. Note that this means disconnecting/reconnecting all sources of power, including the internal battery and keep alive.

If, after doing that, you either get a flashing blue screen or the unit just won't come up, call us at 425-402-0433 and ask for tech support - your unit will need to come back for repair.
