First Flight With Dynon Transponder & ADS-B

Wow, lots of stuff going on. I can't believe all the traffic I saw out there. I was able to locate my buddy in his non-transponder plane about 10 miles away from me. I have 1 10" Skyview and I think the next thing is another screen. I originally planed on two screens and laid out my panel for them, but never got the second screen. Now with everything working I want the extra room. Weather and traffic really look and work nice!

Whoa here. My fancy ADSB box I expect to do wonderful things, but picking up a non transponder equipped plane 10 miles away? How could it do that?

ADS-B is not just airplane to airplane, it also includes data from ground radars. Thus, ADS-B can send you everything ATC sees, which includes non-transponder equipped planes that only have a primary radar return. These targets will not have altitude, but will have position.
