I received the WiFi adapter a few weeks ago but had my plane apart for its conditional inspection. Finally got to fly it yesterday. I was dying to try out the WiFi connection. I have been using the Skyview and Forflight for years and the connectivity seemed perfect for me. I loaded flight plans and used the attitude on the IPad. One thing I wanted to try and see if it worked, was to load a flight plan while already flying one. It works fantastic. I had a simple plan loaded direct to an airport, and had the auto pilot following it. I then picked a different airport on the IPad. Hit direct to on the Ipad, and then sent it to the sky view. “New flight plan loaded" or some such wording and she turns off on the new heading. Very cool, essentially you can fly the plane with the IPad. My navigator can be in the right seat searching for our next stop with cheap fuel or food and push it up to the skyview and we're going there.
