Is it possible, or will it be possible in the future software release to have an alarm alert the pilot if the flaps are down above a set airspeed?

No specific plans for that feature, but we'll add it to the list of requests.

In the meanwhile it would be simple to wire a 'contact' alarm using a micro switch (for when flap is off the stops) and a airseed switch (set for the speed you want) in series. Just a suggestion ;)

while I'm at it... I might as well give you my full Christmas wish list...

multiple flap positions configurable to alarm over, and under, set airspeeds for each position, or the ability to make the vne tape speed move in relation to the flap position.

Air brake/ spoiler overspeed alarm.

some kind of video camera input

crosshairs on the synthetic vision screen, accounting for wind, for dropping flour bombs for those pancake breakfasts!

Hi Jake

That's a good idea, but... I'm pretty much done wiring everything, and it would be so much simpler to just be able to configure speed limits for the flap position that I already installed in the setup menu.

I read somewhere I should "Simplicate, and add lightness"

I'm not too worried about the airspeed alarm until my kids are 14 (legal to solo in Canada) That gives the guys at Dynon 2 years to make me happy... I mean happier!
