I am trying to build a flight data recorder much like the data logging the Dynon systems do. I would use a Dynon, but the size is too large for my application. My question to Dynon here is can you think of a way for me to shrink a Dynon D100 into a smaller unit? Could I disassemble it to fit in a smaller unit? I also need to record AOA in the pitch axis as well as yaw. Thanks for any ideas you can provide!

The Dynon D10A has all of the features of the D100 but with a smaller screen. Is there a reason that won't work for you?

I am trying to build a boom wing mounted recorder with a relatively simple setup/teardown for performance measurements on multiple aircraft. I would like for the boom to be 4 inches in diameter and be entirely self contained with no external wires to the cockpit.

Would it be possible to buy the components and the software from Dynon and then assemble them within the constraints of the data recorder?

Thanks for your reply!
