I know that Dynon is working on the ideas of adding COMMs and such to it's existing hardware. I would suggest adding a FMS keypad for hardware. It could contain numeric, alphabetic, knobs to adjust course etc. No screen necessary, just the buttons that would make it easier to input. I have heard several people complain about input methods on the existing screens. This would go above and beyond fixing the problem, and provide support to future upgrades.
