When installing FT-60 fuel flow sensors will 45 degree or 90 degree fittings in the cube cause problems with the fuel flow accurracy?

It's best to have a straight fitting on the inlet to stop turbulence, & therefore inaccurate readings, however a 45 or 90 on the outlet usually works ok.

Hi Earnest,

It's best to have the fuel transducer in a low point verses a high point in the fuel system and have at least 6" of straight line in and out of the transducer. You can find the Red cube install instructions on the web.

I guess what you're trying to say is that the outlet should be at least slightly higher than inlet & the wiring side is facing up ;)

So one thing to keep in mind is that fluid flow / impeller interaction is hard to predict. We've had reports from customers who have had 90 degree bends at the sensor and have been fine, and also, customers who have had "perfect" installs and have seen inconsistent readings. So your milage may vary (no pun intended), but, straight runs before/after the sensor are generically preferred.
