There is a simple fuel flow K-Factor formula that I got from Garmin G3X install manual.
Reported fuel used, times previous K-Factor (the K-factor in the system now), divided by actual fuel used.
For example, if the EMS tells you that you used 20 litres, but you refill the tank and find you actually burned 25 litres, and your K-Factor is 68000, then:
20 times 68000 equals 1,360,000
Divided by 25 equals 54,400 your new K-Factor.
When you do these checks, it is best to start will full tanks, then after an hour or so flying note the fuel used by the EMS, and then fill your tanks back to the top and note that amount. It is usually very close after one adjustment, and extremely good after two.
For example, if after the above adjustment of the K-Factor you go fly again, and the EMS says you burned 25 litres, but you refill the tank and find you actually burned 26 litres:
25 X 54,400 divided by 26
= 52307
Give this a go. If I have made a mathematical stuff up, it's because it is very early in the morning and I haven't had enough coffee.
