Fuel Flow & Fuel Used

This morning I confirmed my tanks were completely full up in Indiana and set fuel to "full," and at the end of a 2.6 hour flight home to Atlanta my D180 said 21 gallons used while the pump said 17.8 (call it 18) gallons (completely topped off). By the way - my average ground speed was 240mph due to huge tail winds - whoohoo!

Since fuel used and fuel remaining are calculated using the fuel flow gizmo, am I correct in believing that I need to calibrate the fuel flow based on this?

Is it as easy as taking the current FF factor and multiplying by 18/21?

Thanks!

It is as easy as you say. You probably want to do the major adjustment now, and then fly about 100 gallons and do another small tweak.
