I have drained my tanks and re-calibrated my fuel level sensors... twice... 2 gals at a time... and my D180 tells me each time the sensor does read a change and the calibration was not successful. I press yes and continue and when full, I press full. The guages start to show quanty to one half then fall back to zero...My grounds are good. I am set to #1 for the resistive kind of sender in the tank. What am I doing wrong?

What kind of probes? Have you jotted down the chart of numbers that the unit generates at the end of the cal? If so, what are they? Fundamentally, that message means that the calibration process isn't seeing a changing sensor value, so even if you let it finish, it's not surprising that the gauge doesn't work.
