Fuel pressure sender problems

Ive been using supplied VDO pressure sender and it worked for a start then seemed to stop, even reading lower pressure when pump turned on.
We havent had any response much to sourcing lower pressure sender, so I bought Stewart Warner sender - I know Dynon commented on inaccuracy but anything is better than zero.
Now it seems it gives strange readings on anything other than sensor type 4 which isnt listed in my install manual
Can you provide help getting this thing to work?

Sensor type 4 is the Stewart Warner sensor characterization for their p/n 82504-F. We found a lot of variance between individual sensors, so it's hard for us to make a recommendation for this sensor. Please let us know how it works for you though.

OK, thats the sensor I have so should be OK
Im more interested in changing readings than actual numbers
Ill keep you posted

Installed SW sender and with type 4 setting
Seems to work quite well, in my installation there is constant low pressure on it.
I can turn the fuel off when running and it indicates pressure drop as expected, and when turned back on reading is identical
I have no idea of accuracy but sure seems repeatable

When I replaced my RMI microMonitor with the D10 I left the VDO fuel pressure sender in place, because I suspect it is the same model as Dynon supplies. The zero was off and drifting, and the reading drifted when I pressurised the fuel line. To cut to the chase, the sender has Faston tabs attached to the screw terminals. These are unplated brass. Remembering the problems we had with unplated brass jacks for headphones, I solder-plated the tabs and attached them with internal toothed star washers above and below the tab. The zero went to zero and the readings are now rock solid. I don't know if a reading of 4psi really means 4psi, but as JR notes, changes are more important than absolute values.
