Fuel psi gauge pegged

I tried to fly my RV 7A yesterday, but after run-up, my fuel psi read 57.2. I tried leaning, full power, idle, mags on-off; gauge still pegged. I’m not a mechanic, A/P, or the unit’s installer. I would welcome any advice, but please dumb it way down.

Thanks, David. Should I contact Dynon for replacement sensor or is it broadly available?

Depends. If it is the old VDO sensor, you can just buy the right one from almost anywhere. If it is the newer Kavlico Dynon is the go, except they are making a change right now.....bad timing.

My guess is that you have the old VDO sensor. For now replace that. then later maybe when time permits upgrade to the newer Kavlico. That requires more wiring though. Hence why I say if it is the older less reliable VDO sensor, replace it.

The VDO is a cylindrical silver colour and a single wire, the Kavlico is a smaller brass unit with three wires.

Here's the sensor in-line with the fuel system.

D120 Indicating Fuel Pressure @57.2
This picture was taken after I removed the sensor, further suggesting that the pegged reading of 57.2 is what it shows when it's not functioning -I think/hope.
I've tried to contact Dynon Tech Help; no joy, got an answering machine.
Thoughts? Thank you for your input, David. G'day.

Disregard previous msgs. Dynon returned my call and confirmed that the sender is problem and replacement is being shipped. Fingers crossed. Thanks again for weighing in.
