Fully removing AP from D100 and D180

Have 2 friends that each purchased half of a D180, D100 combo.

Both of these friends did not purchase the AP/Servos. The original owner of the combo had the AP/Servos.

That being said, I cannot figure out how to fully remove the AP from each of these screens.

I have reconfigured the DSAB bus to match the current configurations but each screen still has leftover artifacts of the AP in them. The most annoying one being the AP status fields and the lower left of the PFD screen showing up red errors. The current DSAB bus config appears to be correct on each unit. There are no servos showing up there.

How does one fully remove all knowledge of the AP/servos from a D100 or D180?

Thanks, I tried all my bag of tricks and nothing worked. I have added AP/servo configs before and that went well. Never tried to remove them!

Doing a DSAB configure with the device connected to nothing else should do the trick, unless there's a bug. I don't have a setup handy immediately to test. What version of software is on the units?

Pretty sure 5.6.0

That did the trick...re-configuring with no other devices.

Thanks!

Ok spoke too soon.

The D180 worked fine when re-configuring as stand alone with nothing else connected. This removed the AP artifacts on the D180.

Later we tried it on the D100 in the other aircraft and it did not work even though the unit reconfigured as stand alone.

The firmware is 5.5.0

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Brian, that should have worked the same for both. Mike in tech support is suggesting you arrange to contact him while at the plane.
