Has anyone successfully used a Garmin GPS 18X OEM PC all-in-one puck GPS ($75 on Amazon) to feed NMEA data to a D10A? This for the purpose of adding capability to the autopilot function, mainly. I plan to use Stratus or Stratux to an iPad for my main GPS functionality but can't seem to find a way to get NMEA out of those boxes, so a separate NMEA source seems the simpler solution. Also provides some redundancy. My application is for a Zenith Zodiac 601HDS. Garmin photo/info here: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/27594/pn/010-00321-36

Mmmm... I just read another thread that leads me to believe that just having NMEA stream to the D10A without a GPS with database, courses, etc., is really not going to add any functionality to the AP beyond heading and altitude anyway. So, maybe a mute point.
