I am just about ready to remove my Garmin 430 driving my Skyview, and replace it with a GTN 750. Have the wiring pecularities and specifics been published yet for this combination. The 430 is working perfectly. Specifics for the settings in the Skyview and GTN 750 will also be needed. I assume they are similiar, but I :Dknow that the encoder input to the GTN 750 is not the older gray code, but a serial input.

So we do know there to be a couple of software issues with the way that the GTN talks to devices over ARINC. But we're working on a minor software update to fix that. As for the wiring and settings, this should still be valid.

I have completed my 750 installation by myself and everything appears to be working properly.
I did end up with a question as to whether or not there is a need to connect an encoder rs232 between the Skyview and the garmin 750 for additional altitude. I will have another discussion with gulf coast avionics and see what they say.
also interested in Dynon Support comment. Thanks for the timely help.

John, now I see why you want to sell the Defiant. You need to pay for all the bleeding edge technology you're putting in the Glastar! ;D

Harry, you got that right, someone needs tO spend money here in america. ;D
And they say drugs are addictive. I have lost track of how many garmins i have owned in the last 25 yrs.

The glastar fits my flying needs now so much better than the defiant now. :'( Sad but true.
