Hello,
I have 2 Dynon Skyviews connected to a Garrecht TRX-1500.
The TRX com 3 is set to TIS output and the SV's to TRX-1500.
on ground I can see close by or overflying traffic but no Traffic alert from the SV... the yellow warning appears on the screen but no "Traffic" audio! Is it suppressed on GND?
The SV audio traffic warning in the menu is set to all and voice.
The SV shows on the right the status as "Flarm" is that correct, or shouldn't it be "Traffic" or so?

Thanks
Christoph

We do suppress alerts on the ground to reduce nuisance alarms. If you're seeing any traffic at all from the TRX, it's set up correctly.

If I understand it correctly, the TRX-1500 provides data about other aircraft to Skyview. The TRX-1500 also generates collision warnings outputted by sounds.

Used Dynon these warnings from the TRX-1500 or calculates SV the collision itself and also produces the TRAFFIC warning? Should be the audio output from the TRX-1500 to the SV-Intercom-2S pin 17 connected?

Regards Knut

For the TRX-1500, any traffic alerts that are generated by the TRX will be shown by SkyView. I'd assume these to be concurrent with the alerts on the TRX-1500 itself. If they are, hooking up the TRX-1500's output would be redundant. I'd probably do a test to get both audio signals available and confirm that they're outputting the same information. My suspicion here is that the TRX's own traffic alerts will be unnecessary to bring into the intercom because they happen at the same time as SkyView's.
