I'm looking for a "cheat sheet" on how best to configure my Garmin GNS430W and SL30 to communicate with the D180/HS34.

For info, I have a GNS430W, SL30, D180, AP74, HS34. They are interconnected via an Approach Fast Stack PRO hub and cables. I have successfully updated the firmware and all five DSAB devices (servos too) are recognized and appear to function. At this point my brain is fried.

What selections are best for the ARINC and/or Serial communications menus in the GNS430W?

Thanks in advance,
Don

There's no single cheat sheet. But take a look at http://wiki.dynonavionics.com/Garmin_430/530_Wiring. After you get through that, the serial port stuff between the SL30 and the HS34 is pretty straightforward. There's specific instructions for that in the install manual. One thing that people sometimes don't do is make sure that the "indicator head" type on the SL30 setup menus are set to "none" (this is a counterintuitive setting).
