GPS Change Required for ADS-B?

I am currently equipped with SV-GPS-250. Must I upgrade to SV-GPS-2020 before the end of 2019?

With SIL=1, I am getting YES for 91.227 compliance right now which has led me to believe - perhaps erroneously - that I am good as is with the 250. What’s the straight scoop? A source document would be most helpful. Thanks!

If your ADS-B out (transponder) has a IFR GPS connected as the position source; like the GNS-430W, then you are good. If you are relying on the SV-GPS-250 as your ADS-B position source then you will need to upgrade. I am assuming you already have a Mode-S transponder.
