GPS compatibility with EFIS D10A & AP74

I fly a Falco with the Dynon suite of EFISD10A EMSD10 & AP74 which all work well and suit my VFR flying. I have an aging Skymap 3 coupled to the EFIS/AP which does work but in Nav mode the AP over corrects and is difficult to hold a course. Flying to the "bug" it holds a course OK. I am looking to replace the Skymap with a more modern GPS but with limited panel space are considering the likes of the Garmin 695. Can anyone comment on this combination or alternative GPS coupled with the AFIS D10A/AP74.

All of the Garmin X96 products work fine to drive the HSI and AP on a Dynon D10A.
