GPS disconnectable connection?

Hey there,

I noted when reading the manuals that the GPS connection is supposed to be disconnectable under some circumstances, such as updating the firmware.

What is the reason for that - it is sharing the same pin input?

If the GPS is connected to the D120 instead of the D100, does it still need to be disconnectable?

A further question, can you download logs from the Dynon units to your computer via just one cable connection, using the DSAB, or do you have to download from each Dynon unit in your panel individually regardless of networking?

Thanks!

In the D10/D100 series products, each data log needs to be downloaded individually from its device.

On the EFIS-D100/D10A, yes, the GPS serial RX is the same RX that's needed for firmware updates. On the EMS-D120/D10, it's a different wire. So no, if you wire it to the D120, it doesn't need to have provisions to be disconnected.
