Can I interface my GNC-300XL directly to the Skyview and have full HSI/CDI functionality via serial? Future ARINC?

If not, if I connect the 300XL to my HS34 via ARINC can I then connect the skyview to the HS34 via serial and have the required CDI functions for IFR approaches?

Thanks!

ok I'm kind of thinking out loud here...

My setup as follows:
Skyview with skyview GPS
D10A as a B/U EFIS and dedicated HSI head
GNC300XL approach GPS
GTX330 XPDR

As I understand things as they are now I can connect the 300XL to the Skyview via serial and choose between the skyview GPS and 300XL

I could then connect the 300XL to my HS34 via ARINC and to the D10A via DSAB to obtain full HSI/CDI functionality?

I would like to use the D10A as a B/U altitude source for the GTX 330 XPDR. I'm planning on using a switch to select between the skyview and D10A for altitude reporting. Any issues with this?

All ok? Thanks! Ken

As I have read earlier that it can't be used with Skyview. Now you're saying that the HS34 can be used with Skyview, Or SOoo, you're saying it can in such a way be used???

Ken is only planning on using the HS34 hooked to the D10A. It will not work with SkyView.

Ken, you can install a switch for the altitude encoder. No issue. I also don't see why serial to the SkyView and ARINC to the D10A won't work.

You can never had "full" CDI functionality from a panel mount GPS without ARINC. None of them send out the CDI dynamic scaling over serial. But you do get most of the functionality over serial, once we have a functional HSI in SkyView.
