Does anyone know how to get the Skyview 1000 to send gps data to an Ameri-King AK451 ELT?

GPS serial port data out

It looks like that ELT requires "Aviation format" serial output data. SkyView only does NMEA output today, which works with some other units like the ACK E-04 ELT. So at the present time, SkyView can't send GPS data to the Ameri-King. There's a chance we might do Aviation output some day, but it's not currently on the short list of things to implement.

The sales staff confidently said that gps serial data out was not a problem. They were obviously right but that wasn't much help in my deciding to upgrade the Ameri-King 451.

Sorry for the confusion there. They were likely assuming that any modern device would accept NMEA, which is generally supported by most devices. We'll made sure our sales and support team understand to be clear about the precise output capabilities of our products.
