I currently have a GNS-430 and Garmin 496 working with my EFIS-D10A. (I also have the HS34/AP74 and EMS-D10 and both AP servos).

While in the HSI mode, the GPS To indicator (small diamond) is not displayed.  The CDI works fine, as well as the rest of the GPS data.  Neither the GPS1 or GPS2 inputs display the GPS TO (small diamond).  Currently using version 5.1.1

Can you help?  Tim

Doues the course direction automatically slew to match the GPS course? Can you post a picture of what you're seeing?

Looks to me like you do have the GPS "TO" indication as that is that triangle down about half way down the Course pointer......For the GPS overlay, it always point's "TO" unless you put the 430 in OBS hold mode and rotate the course to a "From" bearing.

The yellow diamond is for one of your RMI bearing pointers and with the HS34, that is configurable as to what source you want to drive that pointer.........

Time to break out the manual for a fuller explanation, but...

1) The pink triangle withing your course line is the to/from arrow.
2) The yellow diamond and orange circle are bearing pointers; when you have the HS34 they can be driven by any of your valid NAV sources GPS with a valid waypoint, or a tuned valid VOR). To select them, tap the BRG button until the pointer you want is highlighted (the textual area), and then spin the value knob to set it to the source you want to

OK, this makes more sense..........I routinely use the HS-34 to toggle between the different NAV sources. While using one of the GPSes, I do press the BRG button, I expected the "RMI" (diamond) to pop up.

I must confess I missed the part about using the knob to highlight the text. I am thrilled with the performance. While using the GPS the To indicator works well, this will just be another feature.

Thanks Tim
