How will we obtain GPS data, Jeppesen or the other guys, for your skyview system. Any idea on cost yet. Thanks Ron

The mapping function will cost $500 when it's available. It will not be on the system when it first ships.

There are a lot of data sources out there and it will depend on where you live what it will cost. We hope US data will be free, but outside the US you will probably need to pay Jeppesen. None of this is for sure yet, but you can be sure that we will have a more affordable update system than almost any other system out there.

And it will be world wide data? I have a friend that wants to take his plane around the world and is looking at the skyview.

Terrain is world wide. You can't have it all loaded on the system at once (it's 20GB for the whole world) but he could put it all on a USB stick and then load terrain areas as he gets near an edge (they overlap quite a bit).

As for AV data, it can hold the whole world at once, but I'm sure there will be a price premium to purchase the data for the whole world not just one reigon.
