I'm about a year from completion of my RV-7A. Do I need a seperate GPS? I'm only planning VFR. Will it have a direct to menu? How far,
time remaining, course line, near airports, etc.?

We expect that within that timeframe we will have a complete "GPS" in the system. It will have all the basic functions you expect, such as direct to, ETA, nearest, etc.
