Ground pins

The docs list multiple pins as simply "Ground" on both the EMS DB37 connector and SkyView DB37 connector, but it's clear that some are meant to be connected directly to ground and others are meant to provide grounds to other devices/sensors. Can the documentation be enhanced to make it clear which is the case for each ground pin?

While we call out pinouts for grounds in some places, that's mostly for consistency and to give you a path to follow when we can. However, in most cases there's no requirement that you use the ground wires we specify, and they're not tied to particular sensors in the hardware. So we don't want to add confusion by making it seem that a particular ground wire is tied to a particular device, since different customers have reasons to use different wires for ground.

As Jake says, pin 3 is the one you should use for the main ground, but that's about the only special case.

So if I connect pin 3 of the SV-EMS-220 DB37 connector and pins 21 & 22 of the SkyView DB37 connector directly to ground, any others can be used to optionally provide grounds to devices/sensors?

thanks,

jason
