Ok, I save a flight plan from aopa flights planner to the memory stick. I go to flight plan menu, import, select the file and hit load, and then, I get nothing. No list of waypoints on the page. This is the first time I have tried to use this function.
What are the possible glitches you guys have run into?

John, I have done exactly what you are discribing many times and it has always worked perfectly. Are you activating the flight plan? Im not sure if that is the problem, but you may have to activate it to see the way points and path.

I have tried again, using 2 different memory sticks, and several different flight plans. All I get when I "load" a flight plan is a white blank field. Nothing to activate. Nothing happens when I activate the blank field. Sounds like I am getting corrupted files out of the AOPA planner or doing something wrong. ??? :'(

Upload the file here so we can look at it and see what's inside.

I tried running it thru visualizer also and it did not correct the problem
The forum will not accept the .gpx file as an attachment
Here is the text file of that conversion

So it's definitely not the file (see attached results). Do you have an aviation database installed? (look under SETUP MENU > LOCAL DISPLAY SETUP > INSTALLED DATABASES

Just t add my own experience, I've just taken my Gpx flight plan files for the first time, from the PC PocketFMS program, inserted the USb, and the Skyview can see all the flight plans, but as the previous correspondence, it doesn't load any of the flight plans into the unit. Tried to 'activate' a particular FP, but the Skyview doesn't see this at all.

I have Ver 5.0 installed.

Any help appreciated

Don

Can you attach one of your files? Make sure you select the file and then hit LOAD, and then, you should see it on the flight plan screen immediately.

As per previous email, the forum doesn't see the .gpx file on my directory to upload it. If you have an email I'll send it to you.

Regards

Don
