I've just built and RAF-2000 gyroplane but am considering upgrading the panel.  Will your EFIS unit work in a gyroplane?  Let me know,

Bob,
For sure everything but the attitude would work fine. We're not 100% sure about the attitude. We have had customers put them in helicopters and they report they perform well, so one would expect that they would work okay in a gyroplane as well.

One other issue may be our airspeed indicator- we don't indicate below 30KTS, so if you need something that reads below 30 KTS, another ASI would be required.

That sounds great. With my gyroplane, if I'm flying slower than 30 kts I'm falling out of the air so the airspeed is no problem. Does your unit interface with a GPS?

One more question. How accurate is the airspeed indication above 30 kts?

Bob,
Each of our units is fully calibrated at the factory over temperature and airspeed. To pass our calibration, each unit must be within 2 knots of the actual airspeed at a variety of airpseeds.

This is of course based on the pitot versus static pressure differential going into the unit. Your overall pitot-static system can affect this overall accuracy.

Thanks again for the quick answers. Being a bit of a novice at this I do have several additional questions:

- How and where do you locate the cylinder head temperature sensors? Does iinstallation require a considerable engine modification?
- How and where do you locate tje EGT sensors? Are they difficult to install?
- How and where do you locate the manifold pressure sensor? Would it be of use to me with a fixed prop?
- Will the standard sensors provided with your unit work on the Subaru engine?
- Is there an installation manual I can download prior to purchase so I can determine if your units are suitable for my application?

Thanks,

Bob
