HDX Touch Intermittent

Yesterday my HDX wouldn't recognize the Back or X buttons in the top right corner. Also, by touching the Map or Engine buttons, they would highlight, but not envoke that function. I had to close the configuration window by pushing the hard Exit button. I shut down and restarted the HDX, and it was good for the rest of the flight.

Today, I find that the Back and X buttons do not work at all, but the Map and Engine buttons do, and when pressed, immediately set that function and return to the main screen. Touch points do show up when I touch various parts of the screen, but not the Back and X buttons. I restarted the HDX three times and it didn't help.

Anyone ever seen this? Think it'll do any good to reload the firmware?

I haven't experienced what you are describing but the first thing I would try is a recalibration of the touchscreen (see attached to navigate).

Thanks Andre. Unfortunately it didn't work. I was unable to get a touch recognized in the top 1/2" of the screen.

I tried to reload the firmware but the OS checks to see if it is the same version and if so, doesn't allow it to be reloaded.

Anyone know how to force the firmware to reload?

I had a HDX 10" screen fail in this manner a couple of months ago.
It went back to Dynon for repair

I'm thinking the same thing. I doubt this is firmware. You should contact support.
