My heated pitot has stopped working and I would like to prove wether the fault is with the controller or the pitot.
The 12v supply to the controller is good. There are three wires from the controller to the pitot blue, orange and black. Please can anyone tell me the wiring details so I can test the the controller output or the pitot heating element to prove the fault.
Thanks,
Robin

Just because I have seen this before..........bad crimped connectors on the controller to pitot tube connection. I would strongly suggest replacing them, just to verify. So far I have never seen a faulty tube or controller. I am sure it can happen, but the connector fault I have seen on one customers plane.

Thanks for the advice David.
I checked it out on the plane today. I have definitely got 12v into the controller and testing into the connectors between the controller and pitot I got no voltage and into the pitot 3 to 4 ohms which is about right I should think.
So bottom line it must be the controller.
Can anyone from Dynon tell me if it is supplied separately.
Robin
