I turned on the engine on my RV-6A project for the first time and a couple of thinngs are not displaying correctly on the Skyview display.

First, RPM reads 0. I have a Laser Ignition (PN LC-1001-04) for a Lycoming fuel injected O 360 A1A. I connected the EMS DB37 connector Pin 32 (White/Green) to P-Lead Left (Green wire on Laser) and Pin 33 (White/Blue) to P-Lead Right (Blue wire on Laser). Both connection have a 30K Ohm resistor in series. The Skyview installation guide mentions that Tach/Revolution must be set, but I can not find a value recommended. I checked and it is set to 000100. What should be the setting and will this fix my 0 RPM problem?

Second, with the engine on or with the engine off the reading is 94AMPS. This is not correct because at 94 AMPS the breaker would be tripping and it is note. I have the DB37 pin 24 connected to one side of the shunt and DB37 pin 25 connected to the other side of the shunt. Each wire has a 1 amp fuse in series. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to setp up?

Thank you in advance.... :-/

I checked the Tach/Rev setting again and it is actually set to 00001.0.

I still need to get the RPM and AMP working.

So the "P-leads" on the LASAR aren't the same as on traditional mags and don't carry an RPM signal like they do on conventional mags. I can't find a full official manual, but see page 8 on the following page.

http://rv7-a.com/manuals/SL1-96%20H.pdf

Consult your actual LASAR manual, but if the above is the same as yours, you wan to connect the brown wire in the low voltage control harness of the LASAR to either one of our low voltage tach inputs (either of pin 34/35)

Looks like 2 pulses/rev once you're there, again per the table on page 8.

Connecting the brown wire of the Laser to the low voltage Tach pin 35 worked. My RPM is now working. Thank you.
