Hi,

First post.  I recently bought an RV and am looking to upgrade the Skyview to 4.0.  All files download properly, but when attempting to download the terrain file, I get an FTP username/password pop up box.  There is a checkbox option to log on anonymously which inserts a username and password, but it does not connect.  Would appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction on this one.

On a separate note...there is a message about not using the single-file update if you have custom EMS sensor definitions.  I have a note out to the installer (previous owner did not know), but is there a way to see if any are custom.  I'm making the assumption not, since it is a standard Mattituck O-360 engine, but am wondering if there is a page in the setup menu where this can be confirmed.  I've looked at the EMS setting board, but am not sure about finding out if any settings have been customized.

Thanks a lot for the help,

Did the plane actually go from one Continent to another? High-res terrain hasn't changed since we shipped SkyView, so unless you actually moved it from the USA to Europe, that wouldn't be needed.

There is a 99% chance that you don't have a custom sensor. But to be safe, just go to the System Software menu, and do a "settings export." This will save the sensor file to the USB stick. Then you can load our software, and if you get any funny behavior (you'll get a red X on the things it doesn't understand anymore) you can go back.

Thank you very much for the info, Dynon - exactly what I needed. I assumed the terrain changed with the upgraded 4.0 map, but I guess it was only base map info.

The terrain download does come up with a ftp username password dialog. :-? Is this by design?

This is what I was referring to - clicking the North America hi-res link opens up an FTP username/password pop-up. I'm using Internet Explorer.

Not able to replicate it here. Anonymous access is enabled. If you put in "anonymous" as the user name, leaving the password field blank, does that help?
