High Voltage Reading on HDX

I am getting some strange high readings on my voltage widget on my HDX Screen. With the EMS not connected (Pin1) the HDX reads 6v on a 12v system, and when the EMS is connected it reads over 16V. Am I missing something here? New setup. EMS has separate ground (not one of the sensor grounds). All are grounded to the same point (via tabbed ground block). Both power wires on the HDX are connected to the breaker and grounds are separate at the block. Thoughts? Thanks in advance. A/C info 67 Cherokee 180 Lycoming O-360 Skyview HDX Certified System w/ EMS.

Was told it was something in the screen itself. Got the "send it to us" reply when I called Dynon. Customer didnt want to wait and we just chose to do away with that widget since everything else was good.
