I couldn't find anything searching on this topic, although I'm sure someone before me must have had this question...
I'm planning to install a D-180 in my RV9-slider panel and want to start cutting the panel. What is the highest in the panel that the D180 can be installed while still centered under the pilot side panel rib? (Any measurements from the top of the cutout to the panel screw into that center rib--or some other point of reference--would be really, really appreciated.)
I do assume this depends in part on how the pitot line is hooked into the back since (if I remember correctly) that port seems to be centered on the unit and would thus be under, and be the most likely to interfere with, that pilot side rib. However, I don't know how far back this connection has to extend either.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
