I have a Skyview system and Dynon EMS in my RV-8. My airplane has the SafeAir1 4.5 gal aux fuel tanks in each wing tip. The way they work is the main tanks must burn down at least 4.5 gallons, and then I pump fuel from the tip tanks into the main tanks.
My questions are:
1. Is there a way to update the Dynon fuel management system--in flight--with the increased 4.5 gals per tank? I don't want the system to read 4.5 gals too low because I am unable to tell it the actual new fuel level due to more fuel being added to the main tanks during flight.
2. Please confirm that the Dynon fuel level sensor will see the increase of 4.5 gals per side when I pump them full again from the tip tanks.
3. Does anybody else have Skyviews and SafeAir1 aux tanks like me? If so, could you please share your experiences and any tips?
Thank you!
