You can use this thread to post your experiences with flying the EFIS-D10 line of products.

I got my D10 in May of 03 and in 04 flew to Oshkosh with it. I love it and have nothing but good things to say about my experiences. One interesting thing; It got real hot in the cockpit on our return home last summer. The D10 went into "over heated" mode (black and white) but keekt on wortking just fine. I now have an insterment vent installed to the back of my panel. "must keep my D10 happy" It sure makes me happy. :)

Installed the Dynon August 2003 in my Kitfox series 5. have flown 230 Hours since without any problems. Great buy and very reliable instrumenty. Only thing I have not been able to get running correctly is Course Indicator. Very difficult ti calibrate correctly. ;)

Good Investment, looks great.

Hi Wim,

We would be happy to work with you to get your heading indicator working. The first step: are you using our remote magnetometer (EDC)? It's a lot easier to get a good heading with the EDC than with the EFIS alone. Feel free to call us or email us if you would like us to help you with this.

I finished my installation Feb 1, 2005. I'm an A&P/IA and sought and received a field approval from the FAA to install it in my Cessna 172. I fly a lot of hard IFR and although my EFIS installation is as a standby or secondary instrument, I find it corrolates to each of the certificated instruments almost exactly and with the internal battery it is a great safety feature to have available while in the clouds and low IFR. Since Feburary I have logged about 12 hours of instrument time with the Dynon D10A along for the ride. The Remote Compass and OAT is a nice feature to have as you can then display the OAT/Density Altitude and True Airspeed. I can be contacted at johnr@andycable.com and will be glad to advise those wishing to install this unit in their airplane.

Zero time. The install will be finished 4/20/05, then should have something to say. Like some of the others this will be a backup to a all new garmin panel and will give something for the right seat to look at.

I like the D10 (in my F1 Rocket) but I will be selling it and replacing it with a BMA EFIS Lite set. Why? I want a ND (Nav Display) and Dynon doesn't offer one. I know I will correlate heading information (rates of turn etc.) far better with an HSI type display. Shame really - Dynon is missing the boat on this one completely.

I have over 300 hours in my RV-7A behind an original D10. I'm taking my instrument rating checkride next week, so I've been using it a good bit lately. I find it to be rock solid, and my instructor loves it as well. I just got in line this morning for the D100 for my next project.
