I'm starting to lay out my installation for my QB RV-8. I am using SteinAirs install kit with blue and green plastic tubing.
My question is; Why do I have to bother bending the aluminum tubes at all? Can't I just cut them short and count on the the flexible tubing to snake around and hook up to them?
Besides ease of installation, my other concern is melting the plastic tubing, so I'm looking for some assurance that the tubes will not get hot enough to melt them, if I shorten the alum tubes to the length of my SafeAir mount...about 6 inches. :-?
