HS-34 troubles.

I was flying along at alt when my HSI lost its info. Shortly after I got a DSAB warning on the D100 and then an msg on the -430 that said it had lost -429 input. The HS-34 doesn't work at all. I have rebooted everything with no change.

The GPS ind light on the HS-34 comes and goes, the NAV light comes on occasionally, sometimes both Nav and GPS are lit, and the back lights come and go as well, not related to the GPS light on and off.

I have flown a few times since and no change. It is not dead, because something is going on inside it, but it certainly is not functioning.

I don't think this is a wiring or installation issue, i have close to 100hrs on the HS-34, but i wanted to ask for ideas before I box it up and send it back.

BTW setting the Altimeter and the bugs with buttons is a real PITA ;)

And I have just about lost the ability to fly instruments with out the track caret nested in the course bug :p

Yes, I have become an EFIS cripple....... And i love it!!!!

That's funky indeed. We may need to take a look at the unit. Give us a call at 425-402-0433 (as for tech support) to discuss further.

Got a cross shipped HS-34 and hooked it up. It did not work. Called Dynon support on the phone and they said that the DSAB configuration is serial number specific. Did a DSAB config and every thing worked great, so the unit was obviously bad.

Thanks for the great service!!!
