Hi all,

I have just finised the install of my panel with a D180 and HS34. The ARINC 429 out from the HS34 is connectd to a GNS430 and a GTX330.

The HS34 networks all ok, and 429 input is working fine. I have the latest software.

The problem is I'm getting a 429 input failure on the 430, and no preasure alt on the 330. I have double checked all the wiring and port setups on all the equipment.

Could my HS34 be faulty?

Thanks.

The 330 doesn't shouldn't be connected to your HS34 at all. If you're using the D180's built-in altitude encoder functionality, it should be connected to the EFIS's altitude encoder serial output per the manual.

Given that mistake, I wonder if there's something more going on with your 430 to HS34 wiring and settings. If you haven't already seen http://wiki.dynonavionics.com/Garmin_430/530_Wiring, review that and see if your wiring and settings match.

Its true that the 330 is able to get the alt data via the D180 serial port and I have done this, and its is woking for alt.
But I still have the problem of the 430 not receiving any 429 data, and it is complaining about no data on 429 port #1.

It is wired as per the documentation.

What are your speed and format settings on the 430? If these are not right you'll get this message.

Hi,

Thanks for you response.

I have the speed for both the HS34 and the 430 set to High, and the 430 format to EFIS.

I also have tried setting both to LOW with no success.

Did you confirm that ALL of the settings at the bottom of http://wiki.dynonavionics.com/Garmin_430/530_Wiring match your settings? If so, give us a call when you're at the airplane to troubleshoot further.

HS34 was returned to Dynon.

It was repaired and returned to me at no cost.
Now working well.

Great work Dynon.
