Hello Dynon,
I have been using a 430 with an HS34 and both a D10a and D100 (as well as an EMS10.) Untill we recently refitted (after a warranty repair) the 430 , both the VOR and GPS info were being recieved by the HSI satisfactorily. However the HSI now believes we have 3 GPS's (but only gets a signal on the 3rd) and whilst it recognises that there is some VOR input it does not display frequency inputs nor any nav info.
We also have a TruTrak auto pilot so some settings at low for this.
We have the following settings on the GPS:
MAIN ARINC 429 SETUP
IN 1 HIGH EFIS/AIRDATA
IN 2 LOW OFF
OUT LOW GAMA 429
SDI COMMON

VOR / LOC / GS ARINC Config
            RX          TX
SPEED    HIGH     HIGH
SDI    COMMON
DMI MODE DIRECTED FREQ 1

From the D10A (the primary unit) we have set up the HSI as follows:
HS 34
ANALOG  INPUT ENABLED  N
SERIAL
SERIAL 1
INPUT  AVIATION
OUTPUT  NONE
BAUD RATE 9600

SERIAL 2
INPUT  NMEA
OUTPUT  NONE
BAUD RATE 9600

ARINC SETUP
INPUT 1  GAMA GPS
INPUT 2  GAMA NAV
SPEED  LOW

OUTPUT
OUTPUT DATA  ON
OUTPUT SPEED LOW

As I have been setting this out it has occured to me that my mistake relating to the GPS 1 & 2 is probably in the serial inputs .....am I right in guessing that these need to be set to NONE?

I would appreciate your feedback on th GPS and the VOR set up at your convenience.
Many thanks
Henrik

Yes, you need to set the serial ports to NONE unless you actually have something hooked to them. Usually this is only if you have another GPS in the aircraft like a handheld.

The other problem you'll have is that everything has to be the same speed, so go into your VOR / LOC ARINC config on the 430 and set it all to LOW.
